The Montclair Historical Society, a nonprofit volunteer organization, promotes preservation, study and appreciation of local history; founded in 1965 to save the Israel Crane House, a Federal Revival style landmark home built in 1796, which the Garden Club decorates annually for the winter holidays using traditional plant materials of the period.

Master Gardeners serve the needs of NJ local communities through county offices. The MGEC HELPLINE is available to all ESSEX COUNTY residents. Call 973-228-2210 with garden related questions, lawn concerns, tree problems, or to have your soil tested. Volunteers run the HELPLINE, so you should get a live answer if you call during the day.
